Job summary

Gelita-USA- in Sioux City/Sergeant Bluff, IA seeks a maintenance technician to perform general mechanical and electrical maintenance, including pump/gearbox repairs, welding, pipefitting, PLC installation, and calibration.

The role supports ISO 9001/14001 and FSSC 22000 programs, handles test procedures, and participates in ongoing training and safety initiatives. Four on/four off shift schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Vocational or trade school training desirable or equivalent experience.
• At least three (3) years of maintenance experience and two (2) years of electrician experience.
• Ability to perform complex installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance improvement tasks.
• Familiar with NEC requirements and capable of reading drawings.
• Capable of oxy/acetylene, arc and heliarc welding and electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
• Plan installations to minimize waste and ensure future access.
• Observe equipment to detect hazards and needs for adjustments.
• Carry out duties as assigned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
