Job summary

STEM DTS is partnering with a client in Salisbury, North Carolina to hire an industrial maintenance expert who will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a broad mix of production equipment and facility systems. You’ll leverage a strong electro-mechanical background, hands-on familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, and know-how with pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or Millwright.
• Strong electro-mechanical background with PLC experience.
• Hands-on experience with pumps and valves; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and resolve equipment failures using structured troubleshooting methods.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance across production and plant systems.
• Install, align, and service pumps, valves, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
• Assist with PLC fault-finding and basic program modifications.
• Support equipment startups, changeovers, and capital projects.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance to improve reliability.
