Job summary

Progress Rail in Muncie, IN (via Impact Workforce Solutions) is seeking an Electrical Assembler for the 2nd shift. The role involves assembling large components into electrical compartments and routing wires.

You will follow quality gates, perform terminations, calibrate gauges, and maintain safe work areas. This full-time position offers weekly overtime, PTO, paid holidays, and health insurance premium assistance, with retirement and savings program options.

Qualifications

• 1+ year manufacturing experience (heavy industrial preferred).
• Read a tape measure with confidence.
• Experience with hand tools, blueprints and wiring/schematics (preferred).
• Curiosity and a strong learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install large components and sub-assemblies into electrical compartments.
• Route wires and cables to designated components and complete terminations.
• Terminate and dress cables to specification across the compartment.
• Support corrective actions for quality-identified non-conformances.
• Follow process documentation and quality gate sheets.
• Verify gauge calibration and torque to engineering standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Install harnesses and build plug assemblies per drawings.
