Job summary

Capsa Healthcare is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician in Portland, Oregon. This on-site role involves leading assembly, testing, wiring, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems in pharmacy automation products.

You will read blueprints, diagnose faults, and ensure equipment meets safety regulations before shipment. Associate degree or certificate is required; ICP & J-STD certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certificate in electromechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field.
  • Commensurate experience may be considered.
  • Preferred: ICP & J-STD certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and assemble electromechanical equipment and control panels used in pharmacy automation systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for installation and repair.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, mechanical assemblies, and electronic components.
  • Follow ESD control procedures in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Calibrate, configure, and modify equipment to meet standards and safety regulations.
  • Perform assembly, integration, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting before shipment.

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician to lead the assembly, testing, wiring, and troubleshooting the electro-mechanical systems used in Capsa Healthcare’s Pharmacy Automation products.


This position reports to the Operations Manager and is an On-Site role based in Portland, Oregon.

As The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician, You Will


  • Installing, testing, and assembling electromechanical equipment, including electrical enclosures, back panels, control panels, wiring assemblies, and automated machinery used in pharmacy automation systems

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work

  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical circuits, mechanical assemblies, and electronic components

  • Following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control procedures and safely handling sensitive electronic components and assemblies within an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment

  • Calibrating, configuring, and modifying equipment to meet operational standards and safety regulations

  • Performing equipment assembly, system integration, functional testing, inspection, and troubleshooting activities to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements prior to shipment.


What We're Looking For


  • Required: Associate degree or Postsecondary Certificate in electromechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field. Commensurate experience may be considered.

  • Preferred: Applicable certifications (e.g. ICP & J-STD)

  • Hands on experience through apprenticeships, internships, or prior work in a manufacturing setting is highly valued.
