Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Electro Mechanical Engineer to support drawing release packaging for the Orion spacecraft program. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging drawing releases, managing CCTC, processing PMPs, initiating drawing problem reports, and overseeing drawing development and release schedules. This role also involves research, design, development, and testing of various electro-mechanical equipment and systems, including circuitry components, analog and digital computers, and control test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and package drawing releases, ensuring compliance with CCTC management, PMP processing, and drawing problem reports.
• Oversee drawing development and release schedules to support engineering and production timelines.
• Research, design, develop, and test electro-mechanical systems for spacecraft applications.
• Develop electrical engineering drawings using Creo Parametric and/or Zuken applications.
• Support the manufacturing, final assembly, and testing of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
• Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FFMEA) to ensure system reliability.
• Support the development of ground power and battery emulation systems.
• Troubleshoot Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and conduct hardware component calibration.
• Develop electrical design documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct rack tip analysis to validate and optimize electrical system integration.
• Ensure compliance with electrical design standards such as EMS200.
• Utilize Windchill (EPDM) for engineering data management and version control.
• Check electrical drawings for accuracy before release.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical system design, drawing management, or Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric and/or Zuken for electrical drawing production.
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Familiarity with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design, troubleshooting, and calibration.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FFMEA) and industry electrical design standards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and check electrical drawings.
• Experience with Windchill (EPDM) for engineering data management.

Qualifications:

• Experience with NASA or aerospace-related programs.
• Familiarity with rack assembly, integration, and production support.
• Knowledge of ground power and battery emulation systems.
• Understanding of hardware testing, calibration, and operational procedures.

NASA’s Orion spacecraft is designed to take humans deep into space, beyond the Moon and toward Mars. Orion incorporates cutting-edge life support, navigation, communications, and radiation shielding technology to support long-duration human spaceflight.
