Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a design documentation support professional to ensure proper release of new designs and revisions. You will verify GD&T compliance, ASME standards, and interface with CAD tools like NX and SolidWorks while coordinating with engineers on material specs and processes. The role requires at least a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 2+ years of experience and 3D CAD exposure.

U.S. citizenship is required for access to contract information; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required to access contract information.
• Understanding of GD&T principles and ASME standards.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (NX or SolidWorks preferred).
• Familiarity with PDM systems (Teamcenter, ENOVIA).

Responsibilities

• Design database and documentation checking for new designs and releases.
• Assist engineering in selecting materials, finishes, and processes.
• Apply manufacturing knowledge to ensure cost-effective designs.
• Prepare hardware design documentation for release and control changes.
• Enter data into the documentation control system.
• Support CAD tools and test/debug software related to tools when requested.
• Validate revision capture and change requirements in design data.
• Provide design database and documentation checking for new design releases.
