Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Production Technician in Maryland to test/assemble electro-mechanical systems following engineering drawings and work instructions. The role focuses on mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using hand and power tools with occasional soldering.

You'll collaborate with engineering to improve processes, ensure compliance with work orders, and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or production in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools.
• Ability to solder as part of assembly function.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies with hand and/or power tools; soldering may be required.
• Collaborate with Technicians and Engineering to improve documentation for assembly processes.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, product quality, and reduce costs.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork completed as work is performed.
• May perform in-process quality checks to ensure high-quality output.
• Follow established procedures on routine work and adapt to new assignments.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
