Job summary

Husky Technologies in Milton, Vermont is seeking an Assembly Technician (Electro-Mechanical) to assemble, wire, test and inspect hot runner controllers used in injection molding systems. You will follow electrical schematics, drawings and procedures to build high-quality equipment.

Ideal candidates have mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read assembly drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and basic assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions and electrical schematics.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to identify, read and verify small labels, markings, wiring details and component information.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel and Word).
• Understand, write, and speak basic and technical English.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings and work instructions to assemble and wire hot runner controllers.
• Perform wiring, installation and assembly of controllers.
• Conduct electrical and functional testing of completed systems to verify proper operation.
• Use hand tools, power tools and testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed assemblies, wiring, labels and components to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Record production and quality data accurately.
• Troubleshoot assembly, wiring or testing issues and elevate concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and safe condition.
• Communicate quality, equipment or assembly concerns to supervisors and team members.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production, quality and delivery objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
