Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an Assembler 2 to build high-quality electronic and electro-mechanical products from detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications. You will assemble complex assemblies and verify quality at each stage to ensure on-time delivery.

You will document production steps, follow established procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives with Engineering and Manufacturing to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Must read assembly drawings and schematics; proficient with hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Complex Assembly: Assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products using detailed work instructions and engineering documentation.
• Quality & Workmanship: Inspect work and ensure products meet quality standards before moving to the next operation.
• Documentation & Process Compliance: Complete production paperwork and follow manufacturing procedures and drawings.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify assembly challenges and suggest improvements with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and production to meet schedules.
• Workplace Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 6S practices.
