Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer II to provide technical floor support for reagent, sensor, and tubing manufacturing in Waltham, MA. You will investigate manufacturing issues, support process improvements, and transfer new products into production.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, 3+ years of hands-on experience, and proficiency with Office, Minitab, SAP, MasterControl and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab, SAP and MasterControl.
• Basic proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO standards.
• Hands-on manufacturing support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical floor support for consumable manufacturing operations.
• Test sensors, tubing, calibrators, and controls for functionality.
• Measure and inspect components for form, fit, and function.
• Create and update manufacturing documentation per Quality System Regulations.
• Assist with transfer of new products and processes into manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and other teams to improve processes.
• Train assemblers and operators on new methods.
