Job summary

SCRAM Systems in Ohio is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler I to assemble, test, and rework components and assemblies for ignition interlock systems. You will read work orders, follow drawings, and perform troubleshooting to repair products.

The role requires hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing, proper tool use, and the ability to work with common assembly processes. This position supports production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
  • 1–3 years related experience or training preferred
  • Strong practical electronics assembly skills and tool use

Responsibilities

  • Reads work orders and follows drawings or verbal instructions to assemble parts.
  • Performs troubleshooting and some module swaps to repair products.
  • Positions and aligns parts using jigs, fixtures, or holding devices.
  • Solders, screws, or cements parts to join assemblies.
  • Mounts components on printed circuit boards and installs assemblies in cases.
  • Performs go/no-go testing to ensure products meet specs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Assembles, reworks, and tests assemblies, subassemblies, components, products, or systems.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding assembly duties to be performed.
  • Performs troubleshooting and some module swapping in order to repair product
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in a jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Screws, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on a printed circuit board.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases.
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, straps, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Performs network go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Solid communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Must have solid practical skills in electronics manufacturing and the ability to use common tools
  • Understanding of assembly process
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or training.
  • 2 years related experience desired
