Job summary

AMETEK is seeking an assembler to join our team in Waterbury, CT. The role involves assembling electro-mechanical products from drawings, blueprints, and BOMs, producing sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.

The candidate should read schematics and maintain quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include following procedures, inspecting for defects, and cross-training in other assembly areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one to three years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Versatility to perform various assembly and soldering operations
• Must have dexterity to manipulate small parts
• Ability to read blueprints required

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical components per procedures and drawings
• Maintain production and quality standards; inspect conformity to specs
• Report defects or production problems promptly
• Operate and maintain tools and measuring equipment
• Prepares sub-assemblies and final assemblies for shipping or storage
