Overview

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro‑Mechanical Assembler (B) – 1st Shift to join our team in Glenolden, PA.

Core hours are 7 am – 3:30 pm, M‑F. Hourly rate: $22 per hour (guideline; salaries based on skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations).

Responsibilities
  • Work from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written instructions to assemble electro‑mechanical components.
  • Use machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt, rivet, solder, cement, press‑fit or perform similar operations to secure parts.
  • Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors and integrate circuits.
  • Make a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.
  • Use equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to conduct in‑process test parts during assembly.
  • Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in an electro‑mechanical environment.
  • U.S. person status required (citizen, permanent resident, political asylee, refugee); ITAR compliance needed.
  • In‑location requirement: candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Glenolden, PA; active‑duty military exempt.
  • Use of information or access to hardware subject to ITAR; all applicants must be U.S. persons.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s/Technical degree in applicable field from an accredited institution.
  • 6+ months of soldering and blueprint reading experience.
  • Experience with PCB assembly and testing.
Skills
  • Use of PPE – safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed.
  • Soldering J‑Std certification.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools and instruments.
  • Basic understanding of electronic theory, Ohm’s law, and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage.
  • Ability to work with Mfg Engineering or SME to diagnose and recommend repairs when assembly fails.
  • Proficient with some equipment and tools in Value Stream.
  • Good quality workmanship and ability to meet production standards.
