Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electro Mechanical Assembler for the Manufacturing Assembly Team. You will build precision electro-mechanical assemblies, wire sub-assemblies, and ensure components meet exacting specifications.

You will work with harnesses, circuit cards, and various assemblies, following work instructions to achieve quality targets while supporting continuous improvement and training where needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions.
  • Experience using a variety hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Flexibility to support overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts.
  • Meet defined quality and HPUs standards for assigned work.
  • Ability to become certified in Cable and Harness Class.
  • Ability to become certified in JSTSTD Mods 001-002.
  • Ability to become certified in any required skills or processes.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and main assemblies in team or solo settings.
  • Support harnesses, circuit cards and miscellaneous assemblies.
  • Follow work instructions to meet specs, performance and quality targets.
  • Form components and hand or machine populate circuit cards.
  • Operate equipment such as Laser wire strippers, crimpers and pneumatic tools.
  • Perform detailed soldering on micro and sub miniature components.
  • Build precision electro-mechanical assemblies and wiring of assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement and problem solving activities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety requirements and ESD rules.
  • Use hand tools, computers, and other equipment to manufacture products.
  • Be able to perform all jobs within the work area and multi-task as needed.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Assist in training of employees as assigned.

Standard Job Description

You will be the Electro Mechanical Assembler for the Manufacturing Assembly Team. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality electro-mechanical products that meet stringent performance and safety standards.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electro Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for building precision electro-mechanical assemblies, wiring sub-assemblies, and ensuring every component meets exacting specifications.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in a team or solo environment to assemble components and main assemblies
  • Supports the manufacture of harnesses, circuit cards and miscellaneous assemblies
  • Diligently follow work instructions to ensure product specs, performance targets and quality levels are met
  • Form Components and hand or machine populate circuit cards
  • Assembler would operate various equipment such as but not limited to Laser wire strippers, crimpers, pneumatic tools etc.
  • Perform detailed soldering operations on micro and sub miniature components and parts as assigned
  • Building of precision Electro Mechanical Assemblies, wiring of assemblies and sub assemblies
  • Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by following safety requirements
  • Work to ESD Requirements
  • Use hand tools, computers, and other equipment to manufacture the product
  • Ability to perform all jobs within work area
  • Ability to multi-task, sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Assist in the training of employees as assigned
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to work to written work instructions
  • Experience using a variety hand tools and measuring devices
  • Ability to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required
  • Achieve the defined quality and HPU standards for assigned work
  • Ability to become certified in Cable and Harness Class
  • Ability to become certified in JSTSTD Mods 001-002
  • Ability to become certified in any required skills or processes
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
  • Ability to read and work to blue prints and schematics
  • Previous Electro Mechanical experience
  • Previous certification in industry standards
  • Previous experience on cable and harness manufacturing
  • Previous Circuit card manufacturing experience
Pay Information

Pay rate for this position is $21.77 - $21.77 per hour.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
