Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assembler B to support production of electronic and electro-mechanical components for defense-related contracts. This hands-on role requires reading technical documents, using tools and automated equipment, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will participate in daily GEMBA meetings, maintain accurate records, and work in a regulated environment where explosives and hazardous materials may be present.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with 0–2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in hand soldering of electronic components.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with defense industry standards and ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Experience in regulated environments (ITAR/EAR).

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and execute assembly instructions per DOM and technical docs.
• Assemble components and subassemblies with hand tools and automated equipment.
• Perform wiring, installation, soldering, and cable harnessing as per procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections for defects throughout assembly.
• Verify conformance with blueprints, DOMs, and quality standards.
• Complete assembly and quality records accurately.
• Participate in GEMBA meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with ITAR/EAR.
