Job summary

Hypertherm Associates in Kent, WA is hiring full-time Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble electrical and mechanical components using standard procedures, read schematics, and work with instruments to ensure high-quality builds.

Shifts are four 10-hour days (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri) with opportunity for overtime. We offer competitive pay, 3 weeks Earned Time, paid holidays, and a profit-sharing plan with a target of 20% bonus for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Able to read drawings and schematics and interpret BOMs.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
• Comfort with using measuring devices and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components using tools and fixtures.
• Interpret BOMs and read schematics following written procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Complete tasks with minimal supervision and maintain documentation.

Electro-Mechanical Assemblers

Our Kent, WA location at OMAX is currently recruiting full-time Electro-Mechanical Assemblers. Join our team today!

Assemblers work (4) 10 hour day work schedules on either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday from 5:00am - 3:30PM based on business demand.

As an Electro-mechanical Assembler, you’ll work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks using standard processes, documentation, systems, and tools to assemble products using manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment.

• Assemble small to large electrical and mechanical components. Including routing wires, installing low voltage electrical and electronic components such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels to be used in higher-level assemblies
• Interpret bill of materials and read basic blueprints and schematics following written procedures
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical operating systems
• Complete assigned tasks with little supervision

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent with experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• 18 years or older
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred, including experience with Ohm/volt meters and measuring devices such as calipers and dial indicators , the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics , and attention to detail and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Experience working with soldering and testing connections
• Experience working on larger electrical components
• Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to read instructions and use a tablet to navigate a material selection and pick parts needed for assembly
• Relevant experience could also include electrical maintenance on vehicles, experience installing/repairing/troubleshooting electrical installations (wiring in a building, alarm systems, telecom, etc.)
• Commitment to teamwork, quality, and our ownership culture

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with and exposure to 5S and Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
• Vocational or accredited certification within the electro-mechanical field

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work with required PPE
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Stand and walk for periods up to 10 hours
• Control handheld torque and impact tools
• Requires manual dexterity and repetitive motion activities

Base salary range: $24-$26/hour, will vary based on experience
