Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanic to join a growing manufacturing team in Indiana. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electromechanical systems across the facility, with strong PLC troubleshooting experience and a proactive continuous improvement mindset.

The position is a direct hire with a schedule that includes an initial training period followed by 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on electromechanical maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, drives, servo systems, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment and maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electromechanical equipment and systems.
  • Install and maintain electrical components on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures using schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools.
  • Program and modify PLCs to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning projects.
  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and automated systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.

Electro MechanicJob Duties:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electromechanical equipment and systems

Schedule:
  • Training Period (approximately 3 months): Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • After Training: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
  • Rotating 2-2-3 schedule
  • Must be willing to work a rotating schedule.
Requirements:
