Job summary
Motion Recruitment is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer for a fast-growing cleantech company in Watertown, MA. You will own design, build, and commissioning of first-of-a-kind electrified systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and electrical cabinet design.
Join a team of scientists and engineers moving technology from R&D to pilot and commercial deployment. Travel up to 10% for onsite commissioning and support ongoing development of scalable control
Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience in electrical/automation fields
- Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting in industrial environments
- Experience with electrical cabinet design and control-system documentation
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and commission electrified control systems from prototype to pilot scale and beyond
- Program and maintain PLCs and HMIs for industrial processes
- Develop wiring diagrams, network diagrams, and P&ID documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and support onsite system commissioning and troubleshooting
- Ensure electrical safety and compliance during design reviews
