Job summary

General Matter seeks an Electrical I&C Engineer to design, document, and implement electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems for a new industrial enrichment facility and R&D systems. This role spans control panel design, PLC-based automation, instrumentation, and hands-on system integration.

You will work across early prototypes to full-scale deployments, collaborating with hardware teams while applying first-principles engineering to deliver reliable, maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 3+ years of experience with electrical design for control systems (e.g., EPLAN).
• Proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 for schematics, wiring diagrams, and docs.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, PLCs, and field networks.

Responsibilities

• Design and test ground-up electrical and controls systems for new facilities and R&D.
• Produce control panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O documentation.
• Develop technical documentation for internal use, vendors and contractors.
• Support testing, commissioning, and ongoing system improvements.
