Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to lead powertrain calibration across chassis and electrified propulsion systems. You will integrate engine, electric generator/motor, HV battery, and thermal systems to meet target attributes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
• 5+ years in powertrain calibration with electrified propulsion.
• 2+ years with industry-standard calibration tools.
• 2+ years with prototype vehicles/test benches.
• 2+ years with DAQ systems and testing environments.
• 1+ year in data engineering and statistical validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead calibration development and validation across chassis, powertrain, and sub-systems.
• Perform virtual calibration development using a vehicle analytic platform and DOE methods.
• Conduct design validation and robustness testing with simulations and prototype platforms.
• Manage attribute trade-offs between fuel economy, performance, and emissions.
• Prototype commissioning and debugging of complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Document calibration progress and regulatory compliance to leadership and teams.
