Job summary

General Motors seeks an Electrification Diagnostic Strategist Engineer for its Global Electrification Calibration group at the Milford Proving Ground. The role blends in-vehicle calibration, lab work, and cross-functional collaboration to advance diagnostic calibrations with superior performance and timing.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, designing strategic interfaces, coordinating with activities, and leading diagnostic calibration teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
• 5 years in automotive controls, calibration, diagnostics or hardware development.
• Knowledge of electric and hybrid-electric vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document requirements to calibrate an automotive system.
• Design and manage strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and best practices.
• Coordinate requirements development with other activities.
• Provide support to other engineers for root cause analysis.
• Plan and execute overall diagnostic development plan.
• Lead and guide other diagnostic calibrators.
