Job summary

Kalmar Solutions LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Test & Validation Engineer, Electrics to join our Ottawa team. Lead test planning, verification, and system testing for electrical and control systems on Kalmar Terminal Tractors, ensuring compliance with safety and durability standards.

2–5 years in related roles preferred; Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and fluent English required. You will collaborate with R&D, product care, and customer engineering teams globally, support prototypes,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; fluency in written and spoken English.
2–5 years of experience in electrical/software design, testing, or related areas.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems (low/high DC voltage) and control systems.

Responsibilities

Create comprehensive test plans with R&D for electrical and control systems.
Perform and coordinate testing of truck electrical systems and components per plans.
Participate in gate reviews to ensure quality before passage.
Assist prototype technicians with test setup and data acquisition.
Prepare detailed test reports and design fixtures as needed.
Coordinate installation audits with suppliers to ensure warranty coverage.
