Job summary

Energy Innovation seeks a Manager, Electricity to lead research and analysis on policies shaping a clean, affordable, reliable electricity future. You will guide complex projects, communicate policy recommendations, and serve as a subject matter expert with policymakers, utilities, NGOs, and other partners.

You will advance policy recommendations across electricity markets, grid infrastructure, interconnection, permitting, and siting, while collaborating across program areas and mentoring

Qualifications

• This role requires at least 8+ years of experience in energy and climate policy analysis, including technical research and interpreting regulations.
• Strong writing and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of electricity systems, markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse contributors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to complex research and policy projects on electricity policy and market design.
• Shape research agenda and communicate policy recommendations to stakeholders.
• Oversee internal and external collaborations to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Translate findings into actionable guidance for policymakers and industry partners.
• Represent Energy Innovation in external meetings, panels, and public forums.
