Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; industrial electricity credentials and Master Technician License required.
  • Associate degree preferred; 3–4 years of recent industry experience in the taught specialty.
  • Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop course of study and conduct training program in specialty area.
  • Confer with administration to understand policy and tech changes.
  • Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods.
  • Select or develop teaching aids and reference materials.
  • Test trainees to measure progress and evaluate instruction.
  • Maintain classroom equipment and student records.
  • Assist with student placement and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies and industry partners.
  • Participate in recruitment of students.
  • Instruct students in safety and good safety habits.
  • Supervise cooperative education.
  • Participate in professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
