Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors in Central Virginia is seeking experienced commercial electricians to lead projects within our Special Projects Team. You will direct electricians, manage project documents, and build strong customer relationships while performing electrical installation and repair on complex systems.

Qualified candidates may hold a Journeyman or Master license (preferred) and have foreman level experience in power and control wiring.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing an electrical journeyman or master license (preferred).
• Completion of trade/school programs related to electrical work preferred.
• Experience leading foreman level on power and control wiring in commercial settings.
• Ability to plan, supervise electricians and helpers on projects.

Responsibilities

• Control and lead electrical projects and teams.
• Maintain project documents and customer relationships.
• Provide direction to electricians and helpers on site.
• Perform electrical installation and repair of systems and control gear.
• Size conduits, pull conductors, terminate wiring, and install boxes.
• Support retrofits, construction installs, and equipment replacements.

A day in the life:

• Control and lead projects
• Maintain project documents and customer relationships
• Provide direction to electricians and helpers
• Perform electrical installation and repair operations to electrical systems and control systems
• Install and repair equipment such as relays, starters, switches, motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, power distribution centers and associated over current protection, heat tracing systems, and cable and cable trays
• Determine conduit sizes, pull conductors, make terminations and install junction boxes
• Support wiring and other electrical operations relative to retrofits, construction projects, installations, equipment replacements, and other service projects

You should have:

• Possession of applicable electrical Journeymen or Master’s license (not required, but a plus)
• Completion of applicable trade school preferred
• Foreman level experience in power and control wiring, and commercial electrical installations
• Ability to control/lead projects and supervise electricians and helpers.
• Must be able to work independently without supervision and control your own project
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of NEC and applicable local codes and OSHA safety regulations
• Communication and customer service skills
• Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
