Job summary

EMD LLC is seeking an Electrician to support U.S. Government operations from our Alexandria, Virginia office. The role requires roughly 35%–50% international travel to overseas Government facilities and a Top-Secret security clearance for deployment.

The ideal candidate will install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial or government electrical systems in secure, mission-critical environments and work with conduit installations, wiring diagrams, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in electrical installations, preferably for security systems.
• Valid apprenticeship or journeyman license is required.
• Experience wiring and integrating security systems and reading electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair security systems in compliance with NEC and project requirements.
• Perform conduit installation using EMT and rigid pipe and integrate system components.
• Demonstrate conduit bending to match project specifications and drawings.
• Use drills, saws, and conduit benders to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Operate man lifts and other aerial equipment as needed for access.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings to plan installations.
• Maintain professionalism while working in US government facilities overseas.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
• Adhere to safety practices to ensure a safe work environment.
