Job summary

EMI Services is looking for an Electrician to deliver electrical services, repairs, and upgrades for the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling region. The role involves installation, maintenance, and support across electrical systems and equipment at a government facility.

The ideal candidate has formal apprenticeship, 3+ years’ experience, and a Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility. EMI offers employer-paid health benefits and a pension, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training for electrical trades.
• 3+ years’ experience as maintenance electrician in industrial/commercial facilities.
• Must hold Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure code compliance.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring and fixtures.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring per job specs and local codes.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
• Pull wires through conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Provide preliminary cost estimates for materials and services.
• Maintain current electrician’s license or identification as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
