Job description

Six Flags Over Georgia is looking for a qualified Electrician for the Facilities Crew. This position is responsible for the safe maintenance of facility electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility electrical systems and notify management of any hazards.
• Perform inspection and maintenance programs in accordance with Six Flags and Georgia State standards.
• Maintain, repair, install and troubleshoot various electrical systems and appliances.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as circuit breakers, lighting controls, light fixtures, power distribution systems, receptacles, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose and repair/replace faulty electrical components such as receptacles, light fixtures, wiring, breaker panels, and relays.
• Observe operations of installed equipment/systems to detect hazards, malfunctions, or need for adjustment or replacement.
• Install temporary and/or permanent power systems for park projects, events, and equipment.
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand or power tools.
• Test equipment using instruments such as multimeters and meggers.
• Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work and accurate records of preventative maintenance.
• Respond to work orders and conduct electrical repairs to maintain safe park operation.
• Adhere to park policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$30.24 - $40.32 per hour (depending on level of experience). Overtime (over 40 hours per week) is paid at 1.5x the standard rate.

Other Functions

All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties as circumstances require.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment maintenance and installation.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment and replacing faulty components.
• Experience with commercial kitchen appliances.
• State journeyman license preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional interaction with other shops and departments.
• Clear, calm, and safe troubleshooting in presence of guests, co‑workers and management.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
• Ability to meet physical demands: lifting up to 100 lb, bending, standing for long periods, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Ability to work outside in any weather, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV report.
