Job summary

CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This role supports engineering and technical services with preventive maintenance and repairs.

You will work with electrical systems up to 480 volts, follow safety protocols, and develop proactive maintenance schedules while delivering reliable service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrician Journeyman's license as required by local electrical codes.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 3–4 years of job-related experience; apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including new installations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace components such as motors, switches, wiring, and controls.
• Work safely with electrical systems up to 480 volts following all safety protocols.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely and efficiently.
• Develop proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules from historical records.
• Deliver reliable service to internal and external customers.

About The Role

As a CBRE Journeyman Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical andelectrical equipment in assigned facilities. This role is part of theEngineering and Technical Services function, responsible for providing support,preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical andlighting systems, including new equipment installations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace components such as valves, motors,controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers,cores, and pipes.
• Safely work with electrical systems up to 480 volts, following all applicablesafety protocols.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating safely and efficiently.
• Review historical maintenance records to develop proactive inspection,testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Deliver efficient and reliable service to internal and external customers.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to solveroutine problems.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge of your discipline and familiarity with relateddisciplines.
• Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of your work and that of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures to meet objectives anddeadlines.

What You’ll Need

• Must hold a valid Electrician Journeyman's license as required by localelectrical codes.
• Must pass a fingerprint-based background check.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visasponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years ofjob-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship programpreferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping,standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50lbs. or more.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to analyze and solve slightly complex problems using technicalexperience and sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages,discounts, and commissions.

Pay Disclaimer: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum rate for the Journeyman Electrician position is $75,000 annually and the maximum rate for the Journeyman Electrician position is $80,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
