Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrician to inspect, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in a GMP facility. The role supports building operations, with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in Lexington, Massachusetts.

You’ll work within the Engineering & Technical Services team providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support across building systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. Overtime opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Master Electrician license required; valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs+.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Service Generators and Fire Panels.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

About The Role

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment within a GMP facility, working a day shift Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. In this role, you’ll support building operations in a well-equipped, amenity-rich environment that includes on-site dining, a fitness center, and ample parking, with overtime opportunities available. This position is part of the Engineering & Technical Services team, responsible for delivering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support across building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment w/ 4160V.
  • Service Generators and Fire Panels
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required. Valid Driver's licence required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
