Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC, an EMCOR Company, has immediate openings for Electrician / Electrician Trainee in Ohio. Work locations span Montgomery, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Preble and northern Warren counties. Competitive hourly wages with full-time status and benefits including employer-paid health insurance and retirement plans.

We welcome candidates willing to train and grow; journeyman experience preferred. Training available, with potential for extended hours or weekend overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical experience required.
• Ability to plan layout and installation per blueprints and local codes.
• Obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Willing to work extended hours or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
• Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc.
• Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.
• Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
