Job summary
Area Energy & Electric is seeking an Electrician Apprentice in Ohio. This entry-level role offers hands-on work with skilled tradesmen to install, test, and service electrical systems across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential sites.
Training for the apprentice will be provided. The position includes excellent wages, shift premiums, vacation and holiday pay, health and disability insurance, life insurance, a 401k plan, and a comprehensive safety program.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; eager to learn and able to perform manual labor.
- Current driver’s license; insurable with no major infractions.
- Understand hazards and safety practices around high voltage equipment and moving machinery.
Responsibilities
- Install power supply wiring and conduit.
- Troubleshoot electrical components.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
- Test continuity and safety of circuits using testing devices.
- Ensure code compliance of electrical installations.
