Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers in Woodland, CA is seeking a Journey-Level Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems at our tomato production facility. This on-site, full-time role involves wiring, inspecting panels, calibrating instruments, reading blueprints, and supporting PLC troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of industrial electrical experience, be familiar with 480-volt systems, and hold relevant certificates or education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an industrial electrician.
• Experience on 480-volt systems is required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints.
• Experience with PLC-based troubleshooting and electrical tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, wiring and installation of motors, switches, panels and lighting.
• Install, calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and NEC codes.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in project work as needed.

Pay Rate: $36.54per hour DOE. This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week), with occasional weekend and overtime hours required as needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires work on various shifts.

Primary job duties would include:

• Perform maintenance, wiring, installation of motors, switches, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, testing and power circuits.
• Install, connect, adjust and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specs and codes.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, or test lamps.
• Possess demonstrable skills for specifying and properly sizing of wire, conduit, circuit breakers and fuses per NEC and other applicable codes.
• Read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components.
• Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Completed a related educational degree, certificate, or program; and/or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area
• Required to have a Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an industrial electrician.
• Required to have a Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on 480 Volt systems.
• Required to use Multi Meter & Megohmmeter independently.
• Required to wire a 230v & 480v AC Motor independently.
• Required to install and set parameters on Variable Frequency Drives independently.
• Required to test fuses, circuitry and components in an electrical cabinet.
• A fundamental aptitude, which may be assessed by a practical exam.
• Experience in food production and manufacturing environment
• Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
• AutoCAD experience for creating electrical drawings.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.
• Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
