Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers seeks a Journeyman Electrician for its The Dalles, OR production facility. The role is full-time, with a 40-hour week and overtime as needed. Earn $47.70 per hour with shifts across a seniority-based union environment.

Responsibilities include maintenance, wiring, calibration, PLC troubleshooting, and reading electrical drawings. Ideal candidates have an Oregon Journeyman license, related education, and food-manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Completed a related educational degree, certificate, or program; and/or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area.
• Oregon Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• Experience in food production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with PLC programs for troubleshooting is essential.
• Strong communication and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, wiring, and installation of motors, switches, panels, and power circuits.
• Install, connect, adjust and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and equipment per specs and NEC codes.
• Use tools and equipment such as oscillosopes, multi-meters, and test lamps for diagnostics.
• Size wire, conduit, circuit breakers and fuses per NEC and codes.
• Read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components; troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pacific Coast Producers, a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a talented and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at our Production Facility in The Dalles, OR. Pay Rate

$47.70 per hour. Full time/ 40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires work on various shifts.

Primary Job Duties Would Include

• Perform maintenance, wiring, installation of motors, switches, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, testing and power circuits.
• Install, connect, adjust and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specs and codes.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, or test lamps.
• Possess demonstrable skills for specifying and properly sizing of wire, conduit, circuit breakers and fuses per NEC and other applicable codes.
• Read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components.
• Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Completed a related educational degree, certificate, or program; and/or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area
• Oregon Journeyman Electrician License.
• A fundamental aptitude, which may be assessed by a practical exam.
• Experience in food production and manufacturing environment
• Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
• AutoCAD experience for creating electrical drawings.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.
• Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
