The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a licensed electrician to provide master-level skills in installation, maintenance, remodeling and servicing of its electrical systems from 12 volt up to 12,470 volts on campus. You will assemble, install and repair circuitry, switchgear, and distribution systems, and supervise less skilled workers as needed.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, plus a Texas Master Electrician
Salary Range $69,000 - $72,500 ($33.17-$34.85/hourly) Depending on Qualifications
To provide master level skills and expertise in the installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, remodeling, repair and servicing of the University’s electrical systems from 12 volt up to and including 12,470 volts. Assembles, installs and repairs circuitry, switchgear, distribution systems and all related components. Frequently responsible for the training and supervision of less skilled workers.
High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience. 1 year of experience estimating small electrical jobs, construction drawing and plan review and supervising a small group of employees. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record along with a Texas Master Electrician License.
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Work will be performed on site and in-person.
