The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. The work requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
May be required to perform other job-related tasks when requested. Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas such as environmental, safety, and security. May be required to hold a CDL.
Must have graduated from a vocational school/military technical school, electrical training program, or a certified electrician apprenticeship program and have at least three years practical experience in electrical repair and installations with a minimum of two years’ experience in electrical installation/construction such as conduit bending, threading and fitting, wire pulling and terminating. Must have familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
May be required to work under difficult physical and environmental conditions both inside and out.
Position requires crawling, bending, stooping; working in various awkward positions, climbing tall structures and working at heights for extended periods of time.
