Position Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans; determine best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
- Install control and distribution apparatus and secure in place.
- Test and start up systems; check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
- Work with high and low voltage systems.
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
- Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
- Estimate sizes, distances, quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work activities.
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with plans and specifications; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in the field or related area preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and related skills.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication with management and supervision.
- Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.
Requirements
- Ability to move about a construction/industrial site constantly; stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Work in outdoor construction environments, exposed to weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
- Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffolds to access equipment and work areas (may exceed 200 feet); climb and maintain balance on various structures.
- Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces.
- Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
- Move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction sites.
- Possess required tools; may require a US driver’s license.
- Observe safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned.
- Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, medical fitness, and background checks.
