Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. They will identify all necessary tools and safety precautions to eliminate risks.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools such as hacksaws, pipe threaders, rules, and conduit benders.
2. Install control and distribution apparatus, including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, securing them with crews or bolts using hand or power tools.
3. Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical safety and compatibility using testing instruments like ohmmeters, batteries, buzzers, and oscilloscopes.
4. Monitor the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and determine the need for adjustments, relocations, or replacements.
5. Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance.
• NCEER Certified Plus (preferred).
• Ability to fabricate and install rigid and aluminum, E.M.T., plastic-bond, and P.V.C. conduit.
• Proficiency in using mechanical and hydraulic benders (2” – 4”) and fabricating conduit supports.
• Experience in wire and cable installation by hand, machine, and in cable trays.
