To provide journeyman level skills and expertise in the installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, remodeling, repair, and servicing of the University's electrical systems from 12 volt up to and including 12,470 volts. Assembles, installs, and repairs circuitry, switchgear, distribution systems, and all related components. Frequently responsible for the training and supervision of less skilled workers. Work performed in an educational and research environment.
High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least one year of commercial or industrial electrical experience, experience estimating small electrical jobs, and overseeing a small group of employees. Texas Journeyman Electrician license is required, along with a valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Work Notice: Work is performed on-site and in person. May be required to report during campus closures or inclement weather.
