Rio Tinto is hiring an Electrician & Instrumentation Technician for the Wilmington, California plant. You will perform construction, installation, relocation, repair and preventive maintenance on machinery and facilities to ensure optimal operating efficiency.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety of self and team.
• Qualified Electrician & Instrumentation Technician with 6+ years in a first-class role.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory and NEC applications.
• Experience with instrument control in loops and VFDs.
• Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical control, distribution, and motor protection.
• Install and commission switchgear, controllers, transformers, and sensors.
• Use test equipment for high/medium/low voltage circuits.
• Install PLCs, DCS, and HMI devices.
• Repair and calibrate pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical instruments.
