Job summary

EXCEL Group is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities. You will troubleshoot complex issues, program PLCs, and ensure safe, compliant operations across client sites.

The role requires a strong background in power distribution, control systems, and automation, with a focus on safety and reliability. You will collaborate with maintenance teams and engineers to minimize downtime and optimize processes.

Qualifications

  • Valid industrial electrician license/certification issued by the relevant authorities is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with industrial electrical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and other industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E and NEC safety standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electrical issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Installations: Perform complex electrical installations, including power distribution systems, control panels, motors, transformers, and other industrial electrical components.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Electrical Repairs: Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and issues in industrial equipment and systems. Efficiently repair or replace defective components to minimize downtime.
  • Electrical Upgrades: Propose and implement electrical system upgrades and modifications to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance with industrial standards.
  • Control Systems: Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other industrial control systems to program, troubleshoot, and optimize processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that all electrical work complies with relevant industrial electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Blueprints and Schematics: Interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and production personnel to coordinate electrical work and support industrial operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history for documentation and future reference.
