Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (ENREEC) in Ithaca, Nebraska seeks an Electrician III to install, maintain, and supervise electrical power systems at ENREEC. You will plan circuits, wire sizing, switches, and junction boxes for new and existing systems, and perform diagnostics and repairs on equipment and controls.

Qualified candidates hold a Journeyman Electrician license and have four years of electrical experience, with proficiency in MS Office and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus four years of on-the-job electrical experience required.
• Skilled in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems at the journeyman level.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, such as MS Office Suite, used for communication, scheduling, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical power systems at ENREEC.
• Plan, perform, and supervise electrical installations including circuitry, wire sizing, switching, mains and junction boxes for new and repair of existing systems.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on electrical equipment and controls.
• Prepare and obtain state electrical permits and perform follow-through inspections to ensure compliance with codes.
