The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform standardized electrical repair duties and work with high voltage equipment. The incumbent will identify and remedy problems using independent judgment and maintain records in the maintenance system.

Requirements include a Journeyman Electrician license or four years as an Apprentice Electrician, a valid Texas driver’s license, and a Class C Surface Water Treatment Operator license within three years.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or four years as Apprentice Electrician.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; Class C Surface Water Treatment Operator license within 3 years.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and safety pertaining to distribution systems.
• Basic computer skills to maintain records in CMMS.

Responsabilités

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains electrical systems and equipment.
• Locates and determines electrical malfunctions.
• Repairs electrical components of pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic equipment; uses schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Performs electrical preventive maintenance.
• Maintains calibration and repair schedules for electrical test equipment.
• Assumes duties of Senior Electrician as required.
• Leads junior electricians, including training and routine instructions.
• Follows safety guidelines and security measures as established by the Authority.
• Responds to emergency situations, including after-hours as directed by supervisor.
• Essential personnel report to work during emergencies.
