Job description

Job Purpose:

Installs, repair and maintains power, lighting, communications and control systems

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time

• Installs and maintains electrical equipmentby routinely inspecting electrical systems, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on circuits, transformers, and lighting, identifying and correcting defective or damaged electrical systems, and planning and installing wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in the buildings as needed.
• Maintains safe work and storage areaby cleaning and organizing designated storage area, storing tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or broken tools following established procedures, and following established safety standards while using tools.

Education and Experience:

Essential:

• High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, G.E.D
• 4 years electrical experience
• California State certified electrician

Desirable:

• Electrician Trade School Certificate
• Apprenticeship from an accredited school

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in electrical building code requirements
• Working knowledge of Local, State and Federal guidelines as related to position
• Ability to perform electrical installations, maintenance and repairs of 120/240/277/480vac, single and 3 phase, high and low circuits, and devices
• Ability to competently use electrical meters, hand tools and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning building electrical systems
• Ability to document and track assignments through a shop log or work order system
• Ability to read, interpret and apply technical information from manuals, drawings, schematics and blue-prints
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to read in the English language
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
