Job summary

Sycuan is seeking a motivated Slot Technician I to join our team. This entry-level role provides on-the-job training to progress to Slot Technician II, focusing on preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and setup of slot machines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, inspecting for external damage, documenting activities, assisting with service calls, and ensuring safe operation with proper PPE. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of electronics or enrolled in post-secondary electronics education.
• General knowledge of maintenance and repair of electronics systems and equipment.
• Electronics systems maintenance and repair experience.
• Prior experience in computer or arcade video game repair.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electronics.
• Multilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on slot machines by cleaning and inspecting internal/external parts.
• Inspect and report defective outer machine sections or parts; maintain machine appearance.
• Document activities in the EGM history logbook and complete required forms.
• Install/remove slot machines, connect communication lines and install game parts.
• Assist with floor service calls, diagnose routine malfunctions, repair bill acceptors/printers/sentinels, adjust touchscreens, and set game options under supervision.
• Assist during daily drop by clearing EGM errors, repair locks, and secure EGM doors.

JobPurpose:

Entry Level position that will provide on the job training with the goal to progress to a Slot Technician ll. Skills developed will include guest service, electrical repair, troubleshooting, relocating slot machines, installing, set up, and perform preventive maintenance on slot machines. Identify standard slot manufacturers and models in the industry.

JobDutiesandResponsibilities:

1. Performspreventativemaintenanceonslotmachinesbycleaningslotmachinesandpartsinternallyandexternally.Checking,tightening,andreplacingdoorlocks,hingesandhardwareasneeded.Checkingandchanginglightsandswitchesasneeded,checkingandreplacingfuses.
2. Ensuresthesatisfactoryexternalappearanceofslotmachinesbyinspecting,documenting,andreportingdefectiveoutermachinesectionsorpartstotheTechnicianSupervisor.Cleaningmachineglass,cabinets,pedestals.
3. Documenting all activitiesintheEGMhistoryLogbookandcompletinganyrequiredforms
4. Install/Removal ofslotmachinesbymovingandremovingslotmachinesaccordingtoinstructions,connectingcommunicationlines,andinstallinggameparts
5. Assistswithfloorservicecallsbyansweringservicecalls,navigatingthroughrecallhistory,pay lines, and payouts,diagnosingroutinemachinemalfunctions,performingminorrepairsofbill acceptors, printers,and sentinels. Adjustingtouchscreensasneeded,andsettinggameoptionsunderclosesupervisionwhenassignedtoshadowaTechnician II.
6. Assist during the daily dropby clearing EGM errors, repairing broken locks, and securing EGM doors.
