Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Amarillo seeks an Electrician I to inspect, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. The role requires working to safety codes and includes no supervisory responsibilities.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and a Texas Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent) with up to four years of related experience. Some background checks apply as per policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or another state) or equivalent four years of related experience/training.
• Position may involve background checks and security screenings.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, and practices of the electrical trade.
• Ability to work from penciled sketches and blueprints.
• Skill in using standard tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
• Skill in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems and equipment.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
