The Department of Public Health’s Tewksbury Hospital is looking for an outgoing and reliable individual to fill an Electrician I position.This role performs all necessary activities to properly design, inspect, repair, install, maintain, alter and remove electrical, TV cabling, alarm and CCTV systems. They work closely with other hospital employees and contractors to ensure the operation, safety and regulatory compliance of all electrical systems.
Tewksbury Hospital is a Joint Commission 360-bed accredited long-term and acute care hospital that provides comprehensive treatment, care, and comfort to adults with medical and/or mental illnesses.A full range of services are provided including 24/7 nursing, nurse practitioners, medicine, as well as psychiatric and psychological services, a six-bed inpatient dialysis unit, clinical laboratory, radiology, respiratory care, nutrition, speech/language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, therapeutic recreation, and pharmacy.
This is a 40 hour per week position, working 7am-3:30pm. The days off are Saturday and Sunday.
Tewksbury Hospital offers a broad range of services including a physician on site at all times, around-the-clock nursing care, rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, psychology services, social services, nutritional services, and an on-site dialysis clinic.

Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
