Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftsmen. You will learn to interpret drawings and plans, measure, cut, bend, and install conduit, and support electrical installations on projects.

The role requires safety awareness, physical ability, and willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends. Work is outdoors and in confined spaces, involving high and low voltage systems, tool use, and on-site teamwork under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress.
• Must understand written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Field experience in a craft discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of safe, efficient use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans to determine work procedures and tools needed.
• Assist skilled craftsmen with measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit.
• Weld supports and install cable and duct banks, make terminations.
• Assist with installation of control and distribution apparatus and fasteners.
• Assist with testing and startup of systems and ensure electrical safety of components.
• Observe equipment to identify hazards and necessary adjustments or replacements.
• May pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to fixtures and power equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems.
• Assist with disassembly and repair of defective electrical equipment or systems.
