Carrollwood Farms is seeking a skilled Electrician/General Tradesperson to support construction, maintenance, and development across agricultural and residential buildings. The role focuses on electrical work, including installations, upgrades, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems (solar included), and also involves framing, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and other hands-on tasks.

• Demonstrated professional experience performing electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, conduit installation, circuit loading, and electrical safety.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems in agricultural, residential, and light commercial buildings, including single-phase and three-phase systems.
• Install and wire circuits, receptacles, switches, lighting, panels, and high-amperage equipment like HVAC, welding, and heaters.
• Bend conduit and pull wiring; balance electrical loads.
• Install and maintain pumps, solar-powered electrical systems, and systems for pools and other facilities.
• Support low-voltage wiring, security cameras, AV systems, CAT 5/6, and fiber optics; coordinate with inspectors to meet code and safety requirements.
• Perform general construction and maintenance tasks (framing, carpentry, plumbing, painting) and assist with new construction and renovations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas; work under supervision of the Director of Construction and Head Builder.

Job Title ELECTRICIAN/GENERAL TRADESPERSON (full-time hourly)

Description

Carrollwood Farms is seeking a skilled, versatile Electrician/General Tradesperson to support the construction, maintenance, and continued development of the property. The primary focus of this position is electrical work, including new installations, upgrades, repairs, and troubleshooting of existing electrical systems (including solar). The successful candidate will also be comfortable performing a variety of general construction and maintenance tasks, including framing, trim carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and other hands-on work.

Projects range from agricultural and residential buildings to light commercial facilities. This is an opportunity for a capable tradesperson who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation and Maintenance

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems in agricultural, residential, and light commercial buildings, including both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems and equipment
• Install and wire circuits, receptacles, switches, lighting, panels, and equipment requiring higher-amperage service, including HVAC condensers, welding equipment, and heaters.
• Bend and install conduit and pull electrical wiring
• Calculate and balance electrical loads
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps and motors, including automated gate systems and three-phase pumps
• Assist in the maintenance of well pumps
• Install and maintain solar-powered electrical systems
• Support the electrical needs of swimming pools, hot tubs, and other specialized systems
• Install and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring and related infrastructure, including security cameras (wired and wireless), AV systems, CAT 5 and 6 cabling, and fiber-optic systems
• Coordinate with local inspectors and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety requirements

General Construction and Property Maintenance

• Perform general construction and maintenance tasks, including framing, trim carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and repairs
• Assist with new construction, renovations, and improvements across the property
• Diagnose problems, identify appropriate solutions, and complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition
• Work under the direction of the Director of Construction and Head Builder, collaborating effectively with other members of the building team

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience performing electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, conduit installation, circuit loading, and electrical safety
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems as well as working knowledge of low-voltage, IT, and AV systems and solar PV systems with DC components
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, represent ownership’s interests, and troubleshoot problems effectively
• Willingness and ability to perform general construction and maintenance work outside the electrical trade
• A complete set of standard electrician’s hand tools
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong work ethic, initiative, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
• Ability to communicate respectfully and work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, local officials, and outside contractors
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, equipment care, and property stewardship
• Ability to bend, kneel, twist, climb, and work on one’s feet for extended periods Sometimes must work at heights. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally
