Job summary

Carrollwood Farms is seeking a Groundskeeper Crew Lead to maintain lawns, trees, irrigation, and landscapes across the farm. You will oversee the groundskeeping crew on a day-to-day basis, assign roles, review work quality, and report progress to management while emphasizing productivity and efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years in groundskeeping, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in using manual and power tools safely.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs occasionally, and 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with email communication.
• A genuine passion for creating a beautiful and functional environment.

ABOUT CARROLLWOOD FARMS

Carrollwood Farms is a family estate farm encompassing over 4,000 acres in Stokes and Rockingham Counties, North Carolina.

Position Overview

In this role, you'll play a key role in shaping and maintaining the beauty and functionality of our farm's landscapes. You'll be responsible for existing features like yards, road edges, and trails, along with upcoming projects as we continue to grow.

In addition to performing the hands-on work required of this position, you will also be responsible for overseeing the activities of other groundskeepers while on the job, on a day-to-day basis. This oversight function can include but is not limited to: assignment of roles, feedback on work quality performed by other groundskeepers, and reporting to more senior management on the progress of work performed by the groundskeeping crew as well as providing strategic advice for task management. In all cases the Crew Lead should emphasize productivity and efficiency.
